Back from Iceland!
Slogan's
chief creative force
Scott Hackwith recently
got back from Iceland, where he spent some wildly
agreeable time producing the new album by Reykjavik’s
fast rising, post-rock provocateurs
For a Minor Reflection.
Working at
Sigur Ros'
celebrated
Sundlaugin studio
(a unique facility converted from a 1930's era indoor
swimming pool),
Hackwith's adventurous
rock & roll spirit and capable instinct elevated
the quartet of twenty year olds already adventurous
style to impressive new celestial reaches.
Returning to Los Angeles with the band’s
guitarists
Kjartan Holm and
Guðfinnur Sveinsson for
final overdubs and mix down at Slogan’s studio, this
internationally-informed set is guaranteed to deliver
some of the most innovative and arresting rock
explorations of the year.
